The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU Law (EU) 2016/679 that requires companies to have robust processes to safely store everyone’s data and personal information. The compliance was approved by the European Parliament on April 14, 2016, and went into effect on May 25, 2018.
